I am Kayla Albers. I love all things books and writing. I graduated from the College of St. Benedict and St. John's University in 2020 with majors in Hispanic Studies and English. I graduated from the University of Minnesota with my Masters of Education and Initial Teaching License in English/ Language Arts in 2021.

I have been learning and speaking Spanish for 12 years and had the opportunity to study abroad in Viña del Mar Chile for 5 months during the fall of 2018. While there, I got to live with a host family, attend the local University with other international students, and work in a local English Immersion School where I assisted a seventh grade English class. This experience was foundational in my passion for language, culture, and helping others achieve their goals.

Some fun facts about me: I love running marathons, hiking, and camping. I have a dog,  named Rainey who is my ultimate camping/hiking buddy! A couple of my favorite books are Our Share of Night by Mariana Enriquez, Priory of the Orange Tree by Samantha Shannon, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow by Gabrielle Zevin.
